Opportunities with SCPSDFA
Volunteering
Sutton Coldfield Primary Schools FA are always looking for excellent teachers or sports coaches affiliated to a school to work with some of the best boys and girls in the area. We are an award winning district program that has experienced an incredible amount of success on the local, regional and national stage over the last couple of seasons.
We run U11 representative teams in boys and girls as well as running a Gifted and Talented program for any boys or girls in Year 5 and below that show excellence within the field of football from one of our 34 district schools.
Our girls program is only in its second season so you will play a pivotal part in our future successes. The girls set incredible standards in their first season winning 6 out of 6 tournaments and qualifying for the English Schools FA and Premier League Tournament Series National Finals. Our aim is to build on this immediate success and develop the girls program even further.
Our mission is to have our teams playing here and abroad while giving every child an experience that they will remember and cherish for the rest of their lives.
Your role is to coach and run match days while promoting and integrating our program philosophy of child centred coaching. District football is a great standard and the boys and girls involved are all of a very high standard and really enjoyable to work with. Many of our players are already signed to professional academies.
You will be required to be available on Saturdays mornings and potentially a few week nights.
You will need to be passionate about child centred football, good at developing good people, fun, reliable and a positive role model.
Full training and mentoring will be offered to all coaches from our UEFA qualified coaches. Every coach will be supplied with SCPSDFA kit.
Some District games can involve travel so a car would be beneficial but not essential. We will cover fuel expenses where ever possible.
There are opportunities within the boys and girl’s programs. Please state what sector of the program you would be interested in coaching in when us.
